# How to Delete Chat History

You can remove conversations from your Anycase chat history. Check which conversation or history you are deleting before completing the action, because deleted chat history cannot be recovered through the app.
## **Before you start**
Sign in to the correct account. Save any information you need before deleting a conversation. Deletion is different from starting a new chat or closing a browser tab.
## **Find a conversation**
Use Search Chats in the sidebar to locate earlier conversations. If recent chats are visible in the sidebar, you can also locate a conversation there.
## **Delete an individual conversation**
1\. Locate the conversation you want to remove.
2\. Open its actions menu, shown as dots with lines where available.

3\. Choose Delete and review any confirmation shown before completing the action.

4\. Check your history to confirm you removed the intended conversation.
If you cannot find the conversation’s actions, contact support for help with the controls available in your view.
## **Delete your entire chat history**
1\. Open the account menu in the sidebar. It displays your account name and plan when the sidebar is expanded.
2\. Select Account to open Account Details.
3\. Find the Data section and select Delete Chat History.
4\. Review the confirmation and proceed only if you intend to clear the account’s entire chat history.
## **Common questions**
**Where is my profile?**
Open the sidebar account menu and select Account. You can also visit [Account Details](https://anycase.ai/app/profile).
**Can I undo deletion?**
The app does not provide recovery for deleted chat history. Keep a separate copy of material you need before deleting it.
**Does deleting chat history delete my account or stop billing?**
No. Chat-history deletion is separate from account deletion and subscription management.
**How is deleted information handled?**
Retention and deletion are governed by the [Privacy Policy](https://anycase.ai/privacy), including applicable legal-retention and backup exceptions.
