How to Edit and Refine Your Drafts with DocDraft

DocDraft lets you draft and refine legal documents with Anycase in an editable workspace. You can generate a first draft, make changes directly, and ask Anycase to help revise or improve specific parts of your document. For more details, refer to this article.

1. Start a New Chat

DocDraft is not accessed from the right sidebar.
To get started, create a new chat and ask Anycase to draft the document you need.
For example:

Draft a Motion for Reconsideration based on the following facts: [provide relevant facts and instructions].

For better results, include as much relevant context as possible, such as the type of document, facts, parties, desired arguments, and any specific requirements.

2. Generate Your Draft

Send your prompt and allow Anycase to generate the document.
You can also provide or upload relevant materials that Anycase can use as context when preparing your draft.
Tip: Review the generated document before editing and verify any legal authorities, facts, dates, or other important details before relying on the draft.

3. Open Your Draft in DocDraft

Once Anycase generates a draft, look for the Edit button in the upper-right corner of the draft.
Click Edit to open the document in DocDraft.
From here, you can work directly on your draft instead of starting over each time you want to make a change.

4. Edit and Refine Your Document

You can make changes to the document directly or continue asking Anycase to help you refine it.
For example, you can ask:

• “Make this argument more concise.”
• “Strengthen the legal basis for this section.”
• “Rewrite this paragraph in a more formal legal tone.”
• “Add a section addressing [specific issue].”
• “Review this section for clarity and consistency.”

This allows you to work iteratively with Anycase until you're satisfied with your draft.

5. Review Your Final Draft

Before using the document, always conduct a final review of the facts, arguments, citations, names, dates, and other important details.
DocDraft is designed to help streamline the drafting and editing process, while you remain in control of the final legal document.
