How to Search for Case Digests
Ask Anycase for a case digest when you need a focused summary of a decision. Include the case title or G.R. number and specify the issues you want the digest to cover.
Before you start
Sign in at anycase.ai/app. Have the case title, G.R. number, or another reliable identifier ready. Add the decision date if it helps distinguish cases with similar names.
Request a digest in chat
1. Enter a specific request in the chat box. For example: “Prepare a case digest of Poe-Llamanzares v. Commission on Elections, G.R. No. 221697. Include the facts, issues, ruling, and doctrine.”
2. If needed, use Manage Sources to focus the search on relevant jurisprudence.

3. Submit your question and review the generated digest.

4. Open the supporting citations and check the case identity, material facts, ruling, and context.
5. Ask a follow-up to narrow the discussion, such as: “Focus the digest on the issue of citizenship.”
You can type a digest request directly. The former Find, Explain, Draft, and Digest buttons have been replaced by Sample prompts grouped by practice area.
Read a digest in the legal reader
When a legal document is open in the reader, use the Digest tab to read its available structured summary. Use Full Text to return to the source document and check the passages relevant to your research.

Common questions
Can I search with only the case name?
Yes. Include as much identifying information as you have. If several decisions share a title, add the date or G.R. number and verify the result.
Can I request a shorter digest or a different format?
Include the desired format in your question, such as a table or a digest focused on one issue. Review the source even when the summary is brief.
