How to Use the Chat Feature

Use a conversation in Anycase to ask an initial question and then explore related issues through follow-ups. Keeping related questions together gives the AI the context needed to continue the discussion.

Before you start

Sign in at anycase.ai/app. Chat access and usage limits depend on your account and plan. Free-trial guidance includes credit-based follow-up questions; paid plans are also subject to their applicable limits.

Start and continue a conversation

1. Select New Chat from the sidebar.

2. Enter a clear legal question, including relevant facts or a case identifier.
3. Choose an answer mode and use Manage Sources if you want to select particular legal sources.
4. Submit your question. Review the answer and open its supporting citations.
5. Enter a related follow-up in the same conversation. You can ask for clarification, additional authorities, a comparison, or a different format.
For example, start with: “Summarize the ruling in Poe-Llamanzares v. COMELEC.” Then ask: “Which legal principles support that ruling?”
When moving to an unrelated matter, start a new chat and provide the context for that question.

Find an earlier conversation

Open Search Chats in the sidebar to search your chat history. If the dialog shows no history, there are no conversations available there for the current account.

Common questions

Do I need to repeat the entire question?
You can refer to the earlier discussion in the same conversation. Restate important facts when needed and correct any misunderstanding before continuing.
Does each follow-up count toward usage?
Follow-ups can count toward your plan’s usage. For Free accounts, see How Are My Free Credits Used.
Does a follow-up guarantee the previous answer is correct?
No. Review the reasoning and source documents, especially before relying on a legal conclusion.
