What is File Upload?

File Upload allows you to bring your own documents and context directly into Anycase.

On top of Anycase’s legal library, you can upload relevant files and use them as additional sources while you research. This gives Anycase more context about the matter you are working on and allows you to analyze your own materials alongside Philippine legal sources.

With File Upload, you can:

  • Ask questions about the contents of an uploaded document
  • Reference uploaded documents alongside Anycase’s legal library
  • Bring notes, case materials, and other relevant context into your research
  • Work through and analyze document contents
  • Add specific or canonical sources that you want Anycase to reference directly
  • You can upload up to 5 files max per turn
  • File limit is currently set at 20MB per file

What can I upload through Anycase?

File Upload currently supports:

  • .docx documents
  • .txt documents
  • .pdf documents

You can upload these files directly into Anycase and use their contents as additional context for your research.

Responsible use of File Upload

You control what you upload to Anycase. Uploaded files may contain personal information, sensitive personal information, privileged communications, confidential business information, or information relating to third parties. Before uploading a document, you should make sure that you have the appropriate authority and permission to use that information with Anycase.

Please avoid uploading content that:

  • You do not have the right or authority to disclose or process
  • Would violate applicable laws, regulations, or court orders
  • Would breach professional, ethical, confidentiality, or contractual obligations
  • Infringes the privacy, intellectual property, or other rights of another person
  • Otherwise violates Anycase’s applicable terms or policies

How does Anycase use my uploaded documents?

Documents uploaded through File Upload are treated as additional sources for your research. Unlike documents contained in the wider Anycase legal library, files you upload are exclusively accessible to you. Anycase personnel will only access your content with your consent, such as for support or troubleshooting, or in limited situations required for security and abuse prevention.

Anycase processes uploaded documents only as needed to provide the features you use. Anycase does not use uploaded files, prompts, queries, or generated outputs to train, fine-tune, benchmark, evaluate, or improve AI models.

Privacy and security for File Upload

File Upload is protected by the same privacy and security controls that apply to customer data across Anycase.

Documents uploaded to Anycase are:

  • Encrypted in transit
  • Encrypted at rest
  • Processed only as needed to provide the features you use
  • Not used, together with your queries or generated outputs, to train AI models

You remain in control of what you upload to Anycase. For additional information about how Anycase handles customer data, please review Anycase’s privacy and data-handling policy.

File Upload does not replace Anycase’s legal library. Instead, it allows you to combine your own context with Anycase’s Philippine legal sources.

This means Anycase can analyze the materials you provide while also helping you identify the relevant legal authorities, regulations, issuances, and other sources that may apply to them.

This is especially useful when the answer depends on both the law and the specific facts, documents, or internal context surrounding your matter.

Who can use File Upload?

File Upload is available to Pro and Pro Team users. Free users also have limited access to the feature.
